22 acre site in the sought-after village of Great Bowden
In 2016 we secured planning permission from Harborough District Council for 50 homes, including 16 affordable, and the creation of a 22 acre country park, play areas and community allotments.
The village lies within a Conservation Area, so we undertook extensive consultation with local residents and key stakeholders to ensure that our proposals were in keeping with the area, whilst also meeting the wider housing demands of the region.
This was was one of the first schemes we supported with outline design coding, which ensured the approved masterplan and design principles were taken through to detailed design and the character of new homes complemented the local vernacular of Great Bowden.
In 2017, we sold the site to development partner Mulberry Developments Ltd. After securing detailed planning permission, they delivered the Hursley Park development which quickly sold out.
