Richborough Estates has sold a consented piece of land in South Staffordshire to respected homebuilder Elan Homes.

Elan is now set to build 45 new homes in the village of Kinver, offering a range of two to four bedroom semi-detached and detached properties, including bungalows.

Outline planning consent was secured by Richborough Estates at the end of 2018 for the 3.6 acre (1.45 hectare) plot off Hyde Lane, just to the east of the picturesque village.

Kinver is situated on the River Stour and the development site is close to the village centre. Mill Brook runs through the north eastern edge of the site, which is bounded by established trees and hedges.

Allowing easy access to local countryside and amenities, the site is also just a minute from the nearby A458. The centre of Kinver boasts schools, cafes and shops as well as medical and community facilities. Further afield the town centres of Stourbridge and Kidderminster are both within easy reach.

Martyn Grimes, Midlands Regional Director at Richborough Estates, said: “It is great to see a quality business like Elan Homes purchasing the site and moving forward with plans to build new family homes there. Richborough is proud to support growing housebuilders like Elan with their ambitious growth programmes.

“The local authority awarded this site planning permission at the end of 2018 and it is a well-considered development designed to add to the local Kinver community by supporting local amenities as well as meeting local housing need.”

David Summers, Regional Managing Director for Elan Homes, said: “Land acquisitions are key to our ability to deliver new homes and help address the housing shortage, while growing our business. The site in Kinver is beautiful and reflects our ethos of building in desirable locations where people will love to live. We are very much looking forward to bringing our high quality, design-led homes to Kinver and building houses that contribute to the local community and character of the village.”
