To support the growing business, Richborough has a new recruit in the form of Jonathan Bloor who is a qualified planner fresh from Staffordshire County Council (SCC). Jonathan will be helping the business to spot new opportunities and add value to some of its key land promotions. During his time at SCC he was responsible for managing the Council’s land assets and ultimately for achieving best value.
Before joining the County Council, Jonathan was a former employee at Cheshire-based How Planning and worked on a number of residential schemes for Taylor Wimpey NW, Arley Homes, David Wilson Homes and Pochin Developments. He was particularly involved in an application for 380 units in Winsford (Oakmere Road) and a new urban extension in South Ribble (Penwortham) for 1,500 dwellings.
Jonathan can best be described as an experienced and capable project manager of major sites who is also capable of instructing the entire consultant team, meeting and negotiating with key stakeholders. He particularly enjoys testing his knowledge and diplomacy skills during public consultation events.
Not to be considered a one trick pony, Jonathan has also been involved with a number of interesting retail projects for clients such as IKEA, LIDL, Costco, Aldi, Sainsbury’s, M&S, John Lewis Partnership (Waitrose) and Tesco.
We welcome Jonathan to the business and we’re sure he’ll have a very bright future.
