The proposed development of the erection of up to 270 dwellings with public open space/community park, landscaping and sustainable drainage system and vehicular access point from Melton Road, with all matters reserved except for means of access has been dismissed.
In the light of the reasons for refusal of the application and the matters subsequently agreed, I consider that the main issue in the appeal is whether the proposal would provide a sustainable form of development in accordance with national and local policy, having particular regard to the settlement strategy of the development plan.
