The appeal is dismissed and planning permission for residential development(C3) comprising 50 dwellings (50% open market, 50% affordable), associatedroads, drainage, car parking, servicing, footpaths, cycleways, public openspace/informal open space and landscaping is refused. The main issues being; the effect of the proposed development upon the rural character and appearance of the site and wider area and whether the council has a five year land supply for housing as required by national planning policy.
