Portfolio - Bath Vale, Congleton

Bath Vale - Congleton   Stourport on Severn   Norton Canes   Ellers Road

Richborough Estates acquired the former metal pressing works site known as Bath Vale Works, Congleton in 2005.

The acquisition marked the end of the road for metal stamping on this particular site due to cheaper production from competition overseas. This general downturn in manufacturing activity in the UK and the poor quality of buildings at Bath Vale Works means re-development is paramount.
The site, which is near Congleton town centre, is approximately 25 acres and consists of industrial land, woodland and open countryside, with the “brown field” element of the site being approximately 8 acres. There are approximately 157,000ft2 of dilapidated industrial buildings and offices that have planning permission for class B2 general industrial.

After extensive consultation with Congleton Borough Council and local residents, a sympathetic residential housing scheme has been submitted in June 2007 for up to 130 dwellings, which will provide a new lease of life for the former Bath Vale Works site.

All enquiries about the site should be e-mailed to info@richboroughestates.co.uk
